Regions

Each run takes place within a selected region. Choose the region closest to your location for lowest latency.

[Preferred region]
• You can select a region to be your preferred region.
• Your preferred region can be changed at any time under @config.
• When playing solo, your preferred region will be automatically selected.
• If all members of a party have the same preferred region, that region will be automatically selected. Otherwise, you will be prompted to select a region.

[Using regions]
• You can set your run's region from a hub by using '@config'.
    • You cannot change region from within an instance.

Rune Breakers has two types of maps: 'Hubs' and 'Instances'.

Hubs are spaces shared between the entire playerbase, and are always hosted on the 'main' region (USA West).
Hiraeth. the Bonfire, and Fensalir are examples of Hubs.

Instances are spaces that only a few players can access, like you and your party members. Instances use your selected region.
Lost Realm floors and tutorials are examples of instances.

Note: You will always login through the main region. This may cause some delays on login if you are not in close proximity to the server.
